The Tour De Pants Has Begun!

I finally hit the publish button on my crazyguyonabike website. My wife said she liked it so I must be doing okay. Her opinion means a lot to me. It's 8:00 am, and my blushing bride has the day off today. I'm looking forward to a nice bike ride as a family. The Moonlight Ramble is coming up, but alas, we most likely won't be doing it this year, maybe next year. Man! My face hurts!

The Dentist took another tooth out today. I know after a while it will feel better than it did... But, RIGHT NOW IT HURTS! I finished up posting the first few pages on my "The Tour De Pants" journal, and I hope it will help someone out. Even if only to provide a good laugh. I really like the blog I looked at yesterday, living simply I think it was called. Sure hope I can find it again.

Wow! That's a mouthful. This will be the address to a new venture of mine. I'm documenting my weight loss progress. So, it will be a while before it is actually active... but at least you'll know where it is. I hope you dig it! :-)

Helping is cool.

Today my little boy (in his fireman's hat, denim shorts, t-shirt and lizzard skin cowboy boots) and I went to help a fellow Christian Brother and neighbor. We (Me) Made all the cuts on the wet saw and supervised the installation, while Kenny Chapman (My neighbor) Did all the painful part of actually sticking them down. Little Michael supervised the two of us and provided non-stop encouragement. "Great job guys!" It wound up looking fairly good, and nothing on my body hurts. Brother Chapman suggested that we team up and do small jobs in the neighborhood, it sounds promising.

Wrong food / Wrong time!

I cooked Mexican food for my family lastnight, I ate way too much of it , way too late at night. Turkey Quesadillas and Black bean soup (If your interested). I need to let the Holy Spirit take these desires to over-eat away from me. I just need to SUBMIT to Him. I'll do better today, so far only coffee with Splenda ( However it's only 9:50am) Let it go dude! C-Ya later.

From Fat to Fit!

Okay, I'm done with being fat! I just can't do this any more. My knees hurt, I'm short of breath and when I checked my pressure at Sam's the other day it was 159/102 which is bad any way you slice it. My beautiful Bride said "It's the anti-biotics you're taking". Well, she could be right. Then again, even if she is... I'm sure it would still be lower if I were 80 pounds lighter. I hover around 265-280 and I can't stand it!!!!!! Stay tuned for updates.

My Stepfather

The news came today that Van has Esophogeal cancer and has about a 1% chance for survival according to the doctors. I'm praying for him daily and posting prayers on the www.worldprayertam.com website. He just doesn't seem to believe God's word concerning him! He wants to believe the created (Doctor) instead of the Creator (Almighty God).

I Love My Life!

The 'Stros lost 2 to5 to the Cards. You know what's great though? It has no effect on my life whatsoever! Sure I wish they would have won... But in the grand scheme of things it's only entertainment.

Go Astros!

Tonight is the night! If the 'Stros pull this off we will be in the world series! Ok. I'm gonna' get back to the game.

A Biker looks at 40 (sorry Jimmy)

Much like the title of the famous Buffet tune, I find that I too have somehow managed to make it to the ripe old age of 40. Now upon reflection, like many others I'm seeking to accomplish something. I really don't know if accomplishment is the correct term... I do want to leave something for family and friends after I go onto Christ. (Not too soon God willing)
